Thanks to Dubbya for the
economic stimulus tax rebate! The house was showing its age and the hardwood floors needed a little TLC. We decided to stimulate the house with our stimulus checks and put in a little sweat equity.
Before: Plenty of nicks and scratches.
After too many sanding applications to remember, the floors were ready to seal and coat.

Next up: the guestbedroom. Fix cracks, remove wallboard and paint.

Demo is fun!
Chipping lead-based paint.

A nice 'home run' crack spanned the entire ceiling.

After: fixed with some joint compound.
No need to tape off the walls. I've got a steady hand and spent some time as a painter in a previous life. Not too bad if I may say so myself.
